Summer Day Camps

West Bloomfield Parks has been a trusted provider of family-fun for 50 years. Allow us to teach, inspire and cultivate your child’s sense of adventure with one of our traditional summer day camps.

After weeks of anticipation, WB Parks has opened camp registration for the 2020 summer.  We appreciate your patience through our decision making and planning process. There has been a number of modifications to all camps based on COVID-19 guidelines. These changes have been made as safety is everyone’s top priority while maintaining a great camp experience for our campers.

Camp WB

Our action-packed day camp, Camp WB, features unique arts and crafts projects, sports, games and nature exploration and education.

Download our Camp WB Parent Handbook for all the information you will need to know before sending your children to camp, including our adjustments and additional precautions for COVID-19.

Nature Camps

We also offer a full slate of outdoor educational camps for the nature-lover in your family. Our Nature Camps can include critter encounters, hikes and interactions with the live animals that call our Nature Room home. Our camps are some of the most affordable options in the area and are led by passionate, highly-trained counselors.

Registration Information:

In regards to Camp WB and Nature Camps, registration is now open for 2019 returning campers and West Bloomfield residents.  During this registration period, paperwork is NOT required to be submitted beforehand.  If you are a returning Camp WB or Nature Camp customer and non-resident, you will have to call (248-451-1900) between 10am and 2pm to be registered over the phone. We will override the system and register you over the phone.  Non-resident registration will begin Monday, June 22nd at 8am.

For contractual camps, registration is now open for residents and non-residents.  Paperwork is required to be submitted beforehand.
  • Paperwork only needs to be submitted once for the entire summer.
  • Camp forms must be dropped off (4640 Walnut Lake Rd.), emailed (camps@wbparks.org) or faxed (248.738.2529).
  • Once your child is initially registered, you may also sign-up online for additional camp weeks!

Here is a checklist to help you:

1. Camp Agreement and Release Form
This gives our staff basic information about your child and gives permission for your child to participate in the camp. This form is required.

2. Concussion Form
This form is required by the State of Michigan.  It must be turned in with the other forms prior to the start of camp. This form is required.

3. Medication Administration Policy and Permission Form
This policy, adopted by the Commission in February, 2011, describes the conditions under which your child can receive medication during camp hours. The form is only needed if your child needs to take ANY medication during camp hours (either over-the-counter or prescription and includes inhalers, epi pens, etc.). One form must be filled out for each medication. Please note: part of this form must be filled out by your physician.

Financial Aid Program

The Financial Aid Program has been suspended for 2020.
The Financial Aid Program is designed to assist West Bloomfield families in a financial way by subsidizing the cost of up to two programs and a maximum of $200 per child, per year; on a first-come, first-serve basis.   In January, the Commission approves an annual amount of money as matching funds for this program.
