Summer Day Camps

West Bloomfield Parks has been a trusted provider of family-fun for 50 years. Allow us to teach, inspire and cultivate your child’s sense of adventure with one of our summer day camps.

WB Parks will open camp registration on April 25, 2022.

Oakland County is in the recovery phase (in regards to COVID #s) and as a result there will be no mask requirements, nor health screenings at Camp WB and Single Day Nature Camps. We will continue to follow all guidelines and recommendations by the State and Health Department and respond accordingly if Oakland County moves out of the recovery phase. Please reference this page for the most up-to-date information. We will also communicate any major changes with registered participants via email prior to the start of camps.

Read specific details for each contracted camp under their course description online or below if they have any specific COVID safety protocols.

Our weather hotline number is 248-451-1930.

Check out some of the fun we've had in past summers:

Single Day Nature Camps

New this year we are offering single day nature camps with some awesome themes (“Who’s Hunting Who?”, “Fishing Frenzy” and more). These days are limited to 18 children.  The $10 early registration discount does not apply to single day camp programs. We are not offering any week long Nature Camps for 2022.  We hope you can join us!

If you are looking for full week day camps Camp WB is a great option. A Park Naturalist leads activities at Camp WB once a week for their Marshbank Nature Days with fishing weekly and canoeing bi-weekly.  NOTE:  Camp WB does fill very quickly so mark your calendars for the dates below.

Returning 2021 Nature and Camp WB participants will be offered an early registration day on Friday, April 22nd from 8am – 4:30pm. You can register for single day nature camps and/or Camp WB before the general public.

Contractual Camps

We are delighted to be able to work with independent contractors to be able to offer other camp experiences for your child.  These camps include a variety of sports, art and STEM offerings. Details are included in our Camp Guide.

Registration Information:

Registration begins April 25 at 8 am. We will begin accepting forms on March 28. Early registration for 2021 Camp WB and Nature Camp participants is on April 22 from 8 am-4:30 pm. Register by June 1 and receive a $10 discount on each week of camp (unless stated otherwise).  See the Parent Newsletters for specific inclement weather details.  In some instances, if inclement weather is predicted, we will contact you via phone and email. A make-up day has been pre-scheduled for select camps. If no make-up day is offered, a prorated refund will be provided.

  • Paperwork only needs to be submitted once for the entire summer. Must have a valid digital signature (i.e. with timestamp), typing in a different font will not meet the requirement.
  • Camp forms must be dropped off (4640 Walnut Lake Rd.), emailed* (camps@wbparks.org) or faxed (248.738.2529).  *Scanned camp forms are preferred over a cell phone photo of your forms.
  • Once your camp waivers have been processed, you will receive an email confirmation. At that point, you can register online or give us a call for assistance.

Here is a checklist to help you:

1. Camp Agreement and Release Form
This gives our staff basic information about your child and gives permission for your child to participate in the camp. This form is required.

2. Concussion Form
This form is required by the State of Michigan.  It must be turned in with the other forms prior to the start of camp. This form is required. If you've completed this form for a previous camp or program, you do not need to complete it again.

3. Medication Administration Policy and Permission Form
This policy, adopted by the Commission 0n February, 2011, describes the conditions under which your child can receive medication during camp hours. The form is only needed if your child needs to take ANY medication during camp hours (either over-the-counter or prescription and includes inhalers, epi pens, etc.). One form must be filled out for each medication. Please note: part of this form must be filled out by your physician.

COVID-19 Protocols for Contracted Camps

Each contractual camp provider that we work with sets their own COVID-19 safety protocols. Each provider's plan will be added below as it becomes available. If available, you will also receive the plan automatically once you've registered your child.

Financial Aid Program

Our 2022 Financial Aid Program is currently under review.  We will have an update April 25, 2022.
The Financial Aid Program is designed to assist West Bloomfield families in a financial way by subsidizing the cost of up to two programs and a maximum of $200 per child, per year; on a first-come, first-serve basis.   In January, the Commission approves an annual amount of money as matching funds for this program.
