Pickleball
We have four dedicated, outdoor pickleball courts at Drake Sports Park, as well as two courts outlined on tennis courts at Drake and Keith Sports Park. We have also partnered with Lone Pine Elementary to offer indoor classes during the colder months.
Hours: All parks are open 8:00 am to dusk.
Pickleball Programming Schedule:
No google sheets. Please note “Closed for Programming” signs on courts will be in effect:
- August-September
- Mondays: 5-8pm
- Wednesdays: 5-9pm
- Thursdays: 8:30am-12:30pm & 5-8pm
Anytime outside of those, the public is welcome to use. Please note that the Tennis courts also have Pickleball lines.
Pickleball Clinics and Ladders
Pickleball: Intro to Pickleball
Instructor: Maryann Copley
This clinic is an introduction to the game of pickleball. Participants will learn the terminology, rules, basic skills, and will enjoy playing a game by the end of the class. Participants must wear tennis shoes. Protective eyewear and water bottles are recommended. Paddles provided.

Pickleball 200: Beginner Drills & Practice
Instructor: Maryann Copley
This one-hour clinic is for those who have taken Pickleball 100. Practice using different strokes to help you gain better control of the ball. Improve shot consistency with dinks, volleys, serve and return of serve drill practices. Supervised play will offer you game practice to reinforce those skills. Protective eyewear and refillable water bottles are recommended.

Pickleball Doubles Ladder
This six-week program will have participants move up or down across 6 courts based on their weekly play results. The first week will be a random draw, and results from that week will determine court assignments for the following weeks. Points scored each week will accumulate and influence future court placements. This program is designed for 2.5-3.5 level players. No paddles will be provided, and any absences will result in a score of 0 for that week. No subs.
This program will be held indoors at Lone Pine Elementary School, 2601 Lone Pine Rd, West Bloomfield Township, MI 48323.
In case of rain and the course is cancelled, please check the Weather Hotline one hour before class.
Cancelled matches due to weather are not made up. Pickleball Refund Policy: There are no refunds within 24 hours of first ladder event. Please call our offices at (248) 451-1900 for additional refund and transfer information.
