West Bloomfield Parks offers a variety of fun volunteer opportunities for teens and adults. Our volunteer opportunities include: greeters, game and craft assistants, registration assistants, program assistants, prep work, nature program assistance and much more.

The success of many of our programs and events depends on the efforts of our volunteers. Those who contribute their time, energy, and talents make it possible for our residents to have an enjoyable recreation experience! Many of our special events occur during meal times and we love to feed our volunteers!

Boy Scout Programs:

WB Parks receives many requests for Eagle Scout Projects in our parks. We are happy to assist with a project’s development and execution if the project is appropriate and benefits our parks system. WB Parks welcomes and encourages project proposals where a scout has identified a need in a park (we do not have a need for benches, bridges, or boardwalks). If you need suggestions for a project we have a small list of ideas available to discuss. We encourage spending time in our parks to brainstorm a project that will make an area more valuable to Michigan wildlife. Discuss the project with your troop leaders and parent/guardian to ensure the project is appropriate and meets Eagle Scout requirements.

After these steps have been completed, fill out and submit the survey below. Once the survey is completed, a naturalist/eagle scout project manager will contact you to discuss your proposal and project plan moving forward.
