Community Transit:
We are limiting ridership to one rider per trip. Exceptions to this rule are riders from the same household and riders who have medical conditions that require a helper. We will still schedule medical and non-medical destinations such as: grocery stores, pharmacies, shopping centers, hair and nail salons and gyms. However, we will no longer schedule restaurant trips.
Classes and Event Information:
There has been a number of program modifications made to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines. These changes have been made as safety is everyone’s top priority while maintaining a great experience for our customers.
Health Screenings
Contracted services such as classes taught by non-WB Parks staff, will provide their own COVID-19 procedures & protocol.
The above statements are considered accurate at the time of publication. WB Parks will continue to update and modify programs and events following guidance from: the Oakland County Health Department, State of Michigan (Emergency Orders, Executive Orders, and Licensing Regulations from LARA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Health Screenings
- If you, or any family member is sick or have been sick, stay home and refrain from participating in any activity.
- Some programs will require both a temperature check at check-in and completion of health screening questions. If a program reminder email is sent, details may be included in that communication.
- Masks are required when checking into a program and interacting with staff or volunteers.
- Masks are required while entering a building to use a restroom.
- In accordance with current mask guidelines, if you are outside AND you are able to consistently maintain a 6ft distance from other participants, then you may remove your mask. If it is not possible to maintain a consistent 6ft distance, you will be required to put your mask on.
- Masks will be required for some guided hikes because it is hard for a group to maintain a 6ft distance on the trail.
