Why are there two millages on the ballot?
Election timing and the pandemic have played a role in pushing the renewal of these two existing millages to the same election. The General Millage was first approved in 1980’s and has been renewed every 10 years. The Restore Millage was approved in 2012 to help maintain the growing services and facilities requested by the residents. The Restore Millage is also on a ten year renewal schedule.
Do I vote on one or both of the millages or do I pick one?
Vote on both millages. They are different millages even though the language is almost identical. The yield of both millages currently covers 40% of the WB Parks budget.
