National Trails Day Walk
June 3rd is National Trails Day and what better way to celebrate than to hit the West Bloomfield Trail! Meet the Walk West Bloomfield group at Walnut Creek Middle School (7601 Walnut Lake Road) at 8:30 am for a guided walk along our scenic and historic rail-to-trail network to our exiting point at Sylvan Manor Park. Learn about how the trail came to be, engage in some bird watching or just enjoy the scenery.
The Greater West Bloomfield Historical Society will open the Orchard Lake Museum located along the trail for you to visit and enjoy some refreshments. This walk is approximately 7 miles and buses will transport you back to the starting point. There will be return points throughout the Trail if you don’t wish to walk the full distance.
